Spooky Grain-free Spider Web Brownies
Grain-free Spider Web Brownies- made with paleo-friendly boxed brownie mix, this festive dessert is easy to make and perfect for everyone to enjoy!
It’s hard to believe this is my first Halloween themed treat on the blog. I guess it took becoming a mom to finally get me in the spirit. Although I can’t give myself too much credit because these brownies are about as simple as it gets thanks to my friends over at Bob’s Red Mill.
They came out with a grain-free brownie mix that’s made with wholesome ingredients like almond flour and coconut sugar for a more nutrient dense treat that doesn’t disappoint. All you need are eggs, oil, and about 30-minutes until you’ve got a batch of warm brownies on the counter.
How to Make Spider Web Brownies
- Using Bob’s Red Mill brownie mix makes preparation super easy. Just whisk together the eggs and oil, add the brownie mix and stir then transfer to a baking dish and bake.
- Once the brownies are cool you can whisk together the icing by combining powdered sugar and a splash of milk in a bowl, then transfer that to a silicone bottle (or a plastic baggie with the corner tip cut off) and pipe your spider webs on top of the brownies.
- To achieve a similar look as what you see in the photos you can do a mix of concentric circles in the center of each brownie or half circles on the corners. Then you drag the tip of a toothpick outward in lines to create the spider web effect.
These brownies are perfect for a Halloween potluck, especially because they could not be easier to make. And if you’re looking for an incredible grain-free brownie mix, you’ll definitely want to check out Bob’s Red Mill. The texture is so fudgy and they are perfectly sweet!

Spooky Grain-free Spider Web Brownies
Ingredients
- 1 package Grain-free Brownie Mix
- 3 eggs
- ¾ cup melted and cooled coconut oil
- ½ cup powdered sugar
- 1 tablespoon non-dairy milk
Instructions
- Prepare the brownie mix as directed on the back of the package. After baking, set brownie aside to cool completely.
- Make frosting by whisking together the powdered sugar and milk and in a small bowl. It will seem very thick and that is what you want. Don't add more milk. Just keep stirring and it will eventually become a smooth, thick icing.
- Transfer to a bag or silicone bottle (my preferred method) for piping. Cut the brownies into squares then pipe spider webs onto each square. You can either do concentric circles starting from the center or half circles in the corner. Using a toothpick, drag it through the icing in evenly spaced lines to create a web appearance.

How cute! Camryn would love these. She loves all things Halloween (as long as they aren’t scary haha). Each year has gotten more fun with Cam at Halloween. Last weekend she ran screaming across the street from our neighbors house because their decorations made a spooky sound. It was sad but also hilarious. This is also her first year she’s actually scared. What is Grant going to dress up as?
Aw that is too funny! It’s hard to not laugh at them sometimes haha. We are going to a neighborhood potluck so I think we’re all going to dress up as Wizard of Oz characters since I don’t have to buy much for us. I’m going to be the scarecrow, Brandon the tin man and Grant a lion. He’s already refusing to wear the mane on his head though so we’ll see how it goes!
How about the girls? Do you have costumes for them yet?
Aww that will be cute! That’s so funny he won’t keep the mane on his head. Britton gets to be a hand me down unicorn which she isn’t too stoked about wearing either. Camryn is going to be Sleeping Beauty.
I bet they will look adorable! I managed to bribe him to wear the mane hehe. Hope you guys had a great Halloween!
I bought this brownie mix today and WOW that is so good! I don’t usually buy mixes but this was very convenient and I’m super happy with the taste and texture.
I’m so glad you liked it! I was really impressed too! :)
