Happy Digestion Green Smoothie Packs
Happy Digestion Smoothie Packs- packed full of healthy enzymes and probiotics, these smoothie packs make it easy to start every day feeling great! (vegan, grain-free, gluten-free)
Since I started working from home, green smoothies have become a regular part of my morning routine. It always makes me feel good knowing that I’m getting in a serving of greens before the day even starts.
I almost never made them when I used to work at the hospital because I always told myself I didn’t have the time. Blasphemy!
Taking 10 minutes to prep these smoothie packs in advance means that all you need is 5 minutes to throw them in the blender in the morning.
I’m telling you, it’s so easy and it’s sustainable too. The plastic baggies can be reused by giving them a quick rinse and letting them air dry throughout the day, and you can take the smoothie to-go in a ball jar fitted with a stainless steel lid and straw.
This combo has been my favorite lately because it is chock full of healthy probiotics and enzymes to keep your digestion in tip top shape.
Here’s what’s inside:
- Fresh ginger reduces intestinal inflammation and supports overall digestive and immune health.
- Lemon juice signals the liver to produce bile which helps keep your food moving through your digestive tract, and also aids in detoxification and reducing bloat.
- Dairy-free yogurt provides a host of probiotics that help with digestion and immune function. You can check out my dairy-free yogurt review for specific brand recommendations.
- Frozen Pineapple and pineapple juice contain fiber and digestive enzymes that help your body break down and efficiently absorb protein.
- Hemp Seeds offer an excellent source of essential fatty acids and protein to help balance hormones.
- Spinach is a great source of crucial minerals like calcium, zinc and magnesium. It’s also packed full of vitamins and protein!
- Cinnamon offers anti-inflammatory properties that aid in digestion and has been shown to potentially help lower blood pressure.
Not only does this smoothie taste delicious but I promise it’s going to make you feel like a champ.
And it might be frigid cold across the US right now but that’s no excuse to stop slurping your green smoothies. You might just have to wear sweatpants and wrap yourself in a blanket while you do it. Totally worth it. ;)

This recipe makes one smoothie pack. Simply multiple the amounts by however many you would like to prep for the week.

I love the concept behind this! I bet my bottom dollar I’d make more smoothies if I prepared ready-to-blend smoothie packs…so genius! Also lusting over good digestion right about now…I went a liiiiittle out of control on the alcohol and sugar over the last few months, so I’m betting a few of these this week will help work out the kinks ;)
I’m dying over this smoothie! I haven’t made one in a few weeks and now is the time to kick smoothie making into high gear! I love all of these ingredients and I’m loving that gorgeous green hue. :)
I had a very similar green smoothie this morning! Love this combo SO much! I love this idea of prepping them ahead of time— I’ve never tried that before!
I love this idea! Please consider using something to store them in besides plastic baggies. That is something I myself need to work on. :)
I know, I feel bad for recommending plastic baggies but I always rinse mine and save them in the freezer to reuse.
Do you have any suggestions for something better?
I reuse mine too. :) I’m transitioning over to jars. Unfortunately they take up more space but I’m learning to work around that. With China no longer wanting our recyclables I’m trying to transition faster. I’m finding that the recycle centers are no longer taking a lot of stuff I used to recycle.
That was my issue with using glass containers too. There’s just not enough space! I’ve heard of silicone baggies which are reusable too but I’m not sure how they hold up in the freezer. I’ll definitely look into it though!
Fantastic recipe, thank you! I’ve been using reusable silicon baggies for a couple of years now and they’re absolutely brilliant. Lasted very well 2 years of regular use. They don’t leak even when freezing broth. Stand up well too when filling and dishwasher safe.
I’ve been wanting to drink more smoothies lately but never seem to get around to it, so these smoothie packs are perfect!! I love the flavors you have in these ones too! I hope you’re having a wonderful new year so far, Sarah! :)
I reuse plastic bags too. :)
I love green smoothies and this sounds great but is this your breakfast or just a morning snack? This would never keep me full long enough.
I usually have something else with it, like a whole grain bagel with almond butter. It definitely wouldn’t be enough on it’s own to keep me full until lunch. :)
These are awesome! I always tell myself I’m going to prep stuff like this, but life (netflix) always gets in the way! I’ve got a whole bag of hemp seeds I need ideas for, so smoothies are definitely going on the list.
I love starting my day with a green smoothie! I drink mine on the way to work with my heater blasting . Feels good to get all those greens in early in the day, though.
