Sparkling Pomegranate Orange Sangria
Sparkling Pomegranate Orange Sangria- a delicious and festive drink made with a combination of white wine, pomegranate juice, oranges, and champagne. Perfect for celebrating the holidays!
I was hoping to have a gingerbread recipe for y’all today but it just wasn’t up to snuff…so instead I have booze. Fair trade off, right?
Truth be told I’m not usually much of a sangria drinker. I don’t like really sweet alcohol…it doesn’t sit well in my stomach. But this sangria is another story. The pomegranate and orange juice give it enough tart flavor to help offset the sweetness of the white wine and moscato. It’s fizzy, fruity and citrusy in all the right ways.
I recommend using a light bodied white wine such as pinot grigio for this recipe. For the orange liqueur, I used orangecello from Caravello which is like an orange version of limoncello. I tell ya, those Italians, they know their citrus.
Once you have those two on hand, you simply combine them in a pitcher filled with the fruit and a combo of pomegranate and fresh squeezed orange juice. Then you let that chill for a while in the refrigerator until the fruit infuses all that goodness, pour in some bubbly and it’s ready to serve.
If you think the moscato (or champagne) is too much alcohol then you can also substitute soda water for a less offensive drink.
So we’ll be heading home to Florida for Christmas tomorrow and while the meal plans will still be up this weekend, I’ll be taking a few days off to spend quality time with the fam. I hope you all have a wonderful holiday!

Is it bad I’d rather have this than gingerbread? It looks refreshing and so delicious!
lol! No, I feel the same way. ;)
Hope you have a Merry Christmas, Kelli! <3
Booze is totally a fair trade off! I’m not usually a sangria person either (too sweet), but these flavors look AWESOME! Perfect for the holidays :)
LOL – gingerbread coming right up… so bring the sangria, mmmmK? OH my goodness, I looove the flavors you’ve combined here Sarah and I adore sangria! Make ahead easy, especially this time of year. I’ve gotta get my hands on that Caravella! Have fun in Florida and a restful holiday my dear! xo
Oooooh, this looks so delicious and festive! My boyfriend Felix has a great recipe for red sangria (it’s his grandma’s recipe!) but we’ve been wanting a delicious white sangria recipe too! I wonder how this would be with sauvignon blanc? That’s our favorite white wine!
