Let’s talk about one of the most refreshing drinks you can make this summer. Lightly sweetened with honey and infused with culinary lavender, this iced tea is the best way to cool down on a hot day.

What is culinary lavender?

The main difference between culinary lavender and regular lavender is that culinary lavender has been sifted multiple times so that all that remains is lavender buds. In addition, the varieties used for culinary lavender tend have a sweeter fragrance which provides more flavor in cooking.

Where can I buy culinary lavender?

While you can technically get it anywhere, my favorite place to buy culinary lavender is from a lavender field. If you can find one to visit in the summertime, it is such a treat to smell the lavender baking in the warm sunshine.

You might think you have to travel to the south of France to find a lavender field but they are actually all over the United States. We’ve been to some in Texas, Napa Valley, and there are even a few close to us in Tennessee.
