Top Ten Recipes of 2013
Next month will mark one year since I started this blog and it’s crazy to think about how much has happened since then. From losing my precious girl to Brandon’s proposal, it’s been a rollercoaster of emotions but it’s a year that I’ll never forget.
I still have so much to learn when it comes to cooking, blogging and photography but it feels awesome to share my passion with so many people around the world. Whether you’re new around these parts or you’ve been following from the start, thank you so much for your love and support!
I’ve seen a few posts like this recently and I thought it would be fun to look back at which recipes of mine have been the most popular this year. From the top ten, it’s apparent that people prefer a few healthy meals and lots of chocolate:
#9 Vegan Dark Chocolate Coconut Pies
#8 The Perfect Chocolate Chip Cookie
#6 White Bean, Kale & Sweet Potato Veggie Burgers
#5 Mediterranean Quinoa Casserole
#4 Roasted Corn & Tomato Salad with Lemon-Basil Yogurt Dressing
#2 ‘Glow From Within’ Watermelon Juice
#1 Chocolate Chip Yogurt Donuts
I wish you all good health and happiness in the new year!
The yogurt chocolate chip donuts were one of my favorites too. I can’t wait to get my hands on a mini dount pan so I can make them ; )
I hope you have a happy new year! x
This post just made me so hungry! Those almond joy cookies look so good!! 2013 hasssss been a great year for you–here’s to hoping 2014 is even better!

Thank you Stacie! I wish the same to you in the new year!
I look at your top ten recipes and I think that they are very tasty, that your photography is genuine (not artificial), beutiful and airy. Everything here, your writing included, reminds me why I’m a big fan of your blog. Happy New Year, Sarah.
I appreciate your comment more than you know. I have a long way to go but I’m happy to learn from such talented photographers like yourself. Happy New Year Daniela! :)
I can’t believe you’ve been blogging less than one year! Wow! Well done, my dear, I would have thought you’ve been on here a lot longer! You and your blog are so wise! Your top 10 look delicious – that sweet potato burger is calling my name and those coconut pies? Woooooowee! I’ve got some cooking to do! :)
Aw, you’re makin’ me blush! Thank you so much Julia. :)
Considering the weather is nasty here – that chili looks epic :) As well as the Chocolate Chip cookies haha
I still have that quinoa chili and the white bean burgers on my “to make” list. Thanks for your gorgeous, delicious recipes! Happy almost new year <3.
Great round up lady! It’s been fun spending 2013 following your blog. The good times and the sad times. Cheers to a New Year!
I’ve loved following you as well Andrea. Cheers lady!
I have loved following your blog- and it is impressive how far you have come in a short one year! I have loved every bite of your recipes that I have recreated. On a sidenote, what program do you use to make those compilation pictures with font on top [“Top Ten Recipes of 2013”]?
Thank you for the sweet comment Marisa! I made the picture collage in Picasa and then added the bubble on the image in Powerpoint. Then I opened it in Picasa again and added the text. It was certainly a task but it didn’t turn out too bad for being free, haha. I really need to get Photoshop but it’s sooooo expensive. Happy New Year to you! :)
I think I’m going to need to try that quinoa casserole soon! It looks so delicious. I can’t believe what a success your blog has become in less than one year. You can tell you put a lot of work into this blog of yours. :)
I was kind of embarrassed to post the picture of that casserole but it made the list! It really is a good one, even if you leave out the lentils or the tomatoes.
Somehow I missed your white bean and kale veggie burger, I am definitely adding that to my list of recipes to make !
I’m literally in awe at the fact that you started this a year ago! You are by far one of my favourite bloggers and an inspiration to me! Can’t wait to keep following your journey (and especially the weddding!!!) through 2014 ;)
Thank you Davida! :)
You are definitely one of my favorites as well and I’m impressed at how much I’ve seen you grow in such a short time. Cheers to 2014 girl!

Thank you Dana! :) Happy new year to you too!
I whole-heartedly agree with Davida! Although you had your ups and downs this year, remember that you ate very well and that is one of the small things that does matter. :) Happy New Years to you and your fiance!
Aw, omg, I remember several of these recipes! I’m so glad to have found your blog (through fit fun femme!) because I love looking at your pictures. It doesn’t matter what they are of, ever. I just love your ability to capture things so simply, elegantly, and beautifully. :) Yay for one year of blogging and for your #1 recipe being donuts. Your readers are the best. Have an awesome new year beautiful!

Everything looks amazing as usual! I’m so happy to have found your blog this year. I think that you don’t give yourself enough credit for what a great cook/baker/photographer you are. You’re awesome, Sarah!
I must have not started reading your blog until after you lost your pup earlier this year. I’m so sorry to hear about that, and I know how much it hurts to lose a pet. But I hope that you’ve found comfort in knowing that you gave her a wonderful life. I’m sure that she knew how much she was loved.
Happy New Year! Looking forward to reading more in 2014.
Thank you so much, Nicole. I was extremely attached to her and it hurt like hell but I’ve managed to find peace in her memory. And the hope that there really is a rainbow bridge! ;)
