February Favorites
I don’t know about you guys but I am so ready for March! There are little flowers popping up on the trees here and I can’t wait to see everything vibrant and green. Plus the longer days make it much easier to function like a normal human being again.
We have family coming to visit next week so I’m hoping the weather cooperates. Then the rest of the month will be spent working diligently so that we can relax and enjoy our anniversary trip in April.
I hope March holds something fun for all of you too! In the meantime, enjoy a round-up of my favorite recent finds!
******************
Favorite Breakfast: Chia Seed Pudding. I’ve had lots of chia pudding in my day but have never thought to add fresh orange juice/zest. I love that it adds a touch of brightness and makes it taste like an orange creamsicle!
Favorite Skincare: Coconut Milk Youth Firm Night Cream. You guys might recognize this brand from me sharing it in my prior favorites. I’m obsessed. This moisturizer is my latest favorite. It’s super moisturizing without feeling greasy.
Favorite Snack: Mint Chocolate Power Bars. They say that mint helps improve focus and I can’t think of a more delicious way to concentrate then these power bars. They’re packed full of healthy goodness!
Favorite Cozy Meal: Healing Lemongrass Chickpea Thai Green Curry. I haven’t stopped craving curries yet and this green version is seriously calling my name. Looks so comforting.
Favorite Salad: Fennel & Clementine Chopped Salad. Citrus, fennel, radishes and avocado are pretty much the best winter combo ever. All of that added to a pile of crunchy cabbage? Stick a fork in me. I’m done.
Favorite Cheese: Miyoko’s Kitchen Cultured Vegan Cheese. THIS CHEESE! Miyoko’s is killing the dairy-free scene right now. All of products are made with cashews and coconut oil then fermented with cultures, just like the real deal. The end result is so good I wish I could hug her.
Favorite Mexican Food: Chipotle Cauliflower Rice & Black Bean Enchiladas. Y’all know how much I love Chipotle seasoning. Imagining it infused in cauliflower rice and stuffed in an enchilada is making me crazy. These look amazing!
Favorite Treat: Roasted Blueberry & Almond Butter Dark Chocolate Cups. Okay, Anne had me at roasted blueberries. NEED.
Favorite Tea: Rishi Turmeric Ginger Tea. I tried this tea last month at Cinnaholic here in Athens and instantly fell in love. It’s soothing and perfect to wind down with in the evening.
Favorite Natural Home Find: Kapok Pillows. After we moved we ending up having to buy a new couch and I had the hardest time finding non-toxic throw pillows that weren’t made from feathers. That was until I discovered kapok. It’s plant-based and naturally resistant to pests so it doesn’t have to be treated with chemicals. Sold!
Favorite Tunes: Possessed by Paul James. Brandon and I went to see a bluegrass band here in town and, as someone who usually shuns all things country, I was surprised at how much I enjoyed it. Soon thereafter I stumbled across this guy who happens to be pretty awesome.
Favorite Book: A Dog’s Journey. Oh hi, it’s just me. Reading dog books for the rest of forever. I need a dog, like yesterday. But these books! They are so good and fun to read, albeit the occasional cry that comes along with it. The sequel is just as good as the first one too!

Favorite Dessert: Best Vegan Brownies. The fudge factor of these brownies is off the hook. They’re made with coconut flour which I always comments asking to use as a sub. I haven’t figured it out with my recipes but this one clearly looks like a winner!

That tea looks awesome. I’ve been on a huge tea kick lately and haven’t had coffee during the workday for weeks now because I have so many options in my office. And yes, you definitely need a dog! I can’t read or watch anything having to do with dogs, though, because they all make me cry.
Putting orange zest in chia pudding is BRILLIANT! I am going to have to try that asap
Right?! I thought it was such a good idea. Thanks Sara!
Blue grass is awesome. I’m glad you’re enjoying it. :) I’m SO ready for March too! Unfortunately we have some rain back in the forecast this weekend but I’m hoping for a dryer March. The first signs of spring are a welcome sight here!
Fingers crossed you get a break from the rain soon!
Ahmygeeeeerd those BROWNIES!!! I need to make those as soon as umanely possible! That song is so therapeutic! Thanks for introducing me to Paul James..I’ll be putting him on throughout the day anytime my blood pressure rises, ha!
I love chia seed puddings, but ho my goodness those dark chocolate cups looks amazing! x

The almond butter cups! Drooling.
Don’t they look amazing?!
Great list. I discovered Andalou face care products about 3-4 years ago when my local Coop was handing out little foil samples. I’ve been pleased with many of their face products as none of them have ever irritated my sensitive skin. Also, those chocolate cups look delicious…never thought about roasting blueberries until now. And of course, the book mention…thank you. :)
So glad you enjoy the Andalou products too, Jerilyn! I especially love that they are cruelty-free. :)
That vegan cheese is the best!! We bought one at thanksgiving (along with the kitehill brie) for a cheeseboard and then this past week we tried the smoked flavor (I can’t remember the exact name). SO GOOD.
Ummm and that book is making me so happy with the beagle puppy! I die. Says the crazy beagle lady.
Oh I haven’t tried the Kitehill brie! I had to order the Miyokos online because my grocery store doesn’t carry it. I ordered the smoked mozz too and it was awesome!
First, I love that you two always take an anniversary trip — where are you headed this year?
Second, I am a huge Andalou fan. Love their products.
Third, your kitchen table & chairs is my dream xo
Thanks love! We’re going to Charleston! It’s only like a 4hr drive from here. Can’t wait! :)
Aww thanks so much for sharing my brownies on your blog. :)
You are so welcome, Ela! Thanks for creating such awesome content! :)
