Ingredients

  • 1-2 ounces strawberry syrup see notes for alternative option to syrup
  • 6 ounces unsweetened plain almond milk or milk of choice
  • 1 teaspoon matcha powder
  • 6-8 ice cubes

Instructions

If Using Strawberry Syrup

  • In a 12-ounce glass, add 1 to 2 ounces of strawberry syrup. Top with a handful of ice then pour in 6 ounces milk.
  • In a small bowl, whisk 1 teaspoon matcha with 2 tablespoons of warm water until smooth. Pour over milk. Serve and enjoy!

Without Strawberry Syrup

  • In a small saucepan, warm a handful of chopped strawberries (about 3-4 berries, depending on their size) of medium-low heat. Add a splash of non-alcoholic vanilla extract and 2 teaspoons of honey. Cook until the honey has melted in with the berries. Squeeze in a small wedge of lemon juice.
  • Transfer berries to a 12-ounce glass (the same as you would the syrup). Add ice and milk then top with matcha. Serve and enjoy!
