Pomegranate Spritzers
Pomegranate Spritzers made with tonic, pomegranate juice and a splash of lime. They’re an easy and festive drink that’s for the holidays!
I have a fun drink for you today that’s healthy, fizzy and delicious!
Brandon and I aren’t soda drinkers so I like to make these on occasion to jazz things up a bit. I really love adding a little hibiscus tea but for some reason I always forget to make it ahead of time so we usually end-up with a simplified version.
It’s as easy as combining soda water with pomegranate juice and a splash of lime. That’s it!
If you prefer a boozy version, you can add a little vodka or replace the soda water with dry champagne.
Cheers to a happy holiday! ;)
Ingredients
32 ounces soda water or 25 ounces dry champagne
32 ounces pure pomegranate juice (no sugar added)
2 limes
12-16 ice cubes
pomegranate seeds and an extra lime for garnish (optional)
16 ounces hibiscus tea, cooled (optional)
Instructions
- Divide ice cubes into 4 separate 16 ounce glasses, pour 6 ounces pomegranate juice in each, then squeeze one half of a lime’s juice on top. If using hibiscus tea, add 4 ounces into each glass.
- Finish with 8 ounces soda water or champagne then stir until well-mixed. Top with pomegranate seeds and a lime wedge then serve!
Notes
The recipe makes four 16 ounces drinks but feel free to half the amount in each glass if you prefer a smaller serving size.
Do you have a favorite holiday cocktail?
No way! I was going to do a Holiday Drink special.. and a pomegranate spritzer was on my list! I just love pomegranate juice mixed with lime. So delicious! One of my favourite holiday cocktails is eggnog (or almond nog) with a little dark rum.
My schedule has been so hectic lately too. Hopefully you get a bit of a break this weekend!
It’s been one of those weeks for me too so I may opt for the champagne….Thank god for Amazon. Well I say that now until I finally get around the christmas shopping next week and none of my gifts arrive in time. Then I’ll proceed to polish off the champagne!
That spritzer looks so nice and light!
I tend to go with a little bit heavier drinks than normal around the holidays. I love mixing apple cider with fireball whiskey, or eggnog with kahlua.
Oh my goodness…such a refreshing holiday drink! I absolutely love pomegranates and pomegranate juice. It’s so delicious!
These look so simple! Who knew? And yes I alwaysssss get side tracked…whoops…so don’t feel bad. I feel like especially if I were planning a wedding id get extra distracted. Have a great Friday!
These look amazing! I love everything pomegranate so I’m sold!
Those looks so festive and refreshing! I don’t have a cocktail I make especially for the holidays. Year round I make vodka/lime spritzer type things and they’re very good. Strong (we call them “sipper” drinks) but good!
This is just gorgeous, and I love that I can make the adult version (yay! :D ) and also the kiddie version for my little dudes – all at once! That’s such a really nice option around the holidays when you’ve got all different age groups jumbled together, happily celebrating! Oh – and yes, yes … it totally does happen to me that I mill around the house getting all sidetracked with a million different to-do-list items and then realize I haven’t really completed a single one! Gaaahhhhh! :D
Oh my goodness, I love spritzers! Definitely need to remember these.
And yes to the getting distracted thing – it’s been happening to me more and more lately..thank goodness holidays are coming up.
Have a good weekend lady!
I just texted my dad this recipe – we like drinking on Christmas eve/day & were wondering what we should make. YUUUM.
I love the champagne idea. I think that would be delicious. I totally know how you feel about this week being crazy, though I think you’re pretty good at keeping up because you’ve still blogged all week! I have nothing left to post and I didn’t even try to make anything for the blog.
I need to get back on track soon too. With all these exams and homework and stuff, it’s been forever since I last went for a nice and long run and I kinda miss it! I haven’t had the time to cook proper food either so I miss that too :–(
These spritzers look lovely Sarah! The color is great!
Happy Friday :–)
!!!!! I am making these on Christmas Eve! This recipe could not be even more perfect for my family! Thanks Sarah!
Love this! Looks so refreshing and I love the three different possibilities!
I love drink (and food) recipes that are so simple and sound so good. This looks like a great holiday drink and I love anything where I can incorporate champagne!
As far as getting sidetracked only to get nothing done in the end? Happens to me way more often than I’d like to admit!
Oh my! I just woke up and this looks so thirst quenching! All I need to buy is pom juice and I am game, set, match. I might make these for my Christmas dinner. Bookmarked!
I love drinking Shirley Temples around the holidays.
I’ve been having a similar kind of week – I can’t seem to get anything accomplished either. It’s so frustrating! And time is flying by and making me stressed out! These spritzers look awesome – I think I need a drink in my life tonight : ) Happy weekend!
such a pretty, festive beverage.
don’t beat yourself up girl… please don’t. in all honestly, i have been carb-loading like i’m going to run a marathon or something. i have no doubt you’ll find your way back to kale and quinoa in no time.
take a deep breath! xo
p.s. i really like that fabric/placemat. nice rustic touch!
ohh this would be great with champagne! thanks for a great cocktail idea for NYE!
I LOVE this recipe! So refreshing!
Yum! These sound so delicious and refreshing! What a lovely drink!
This looks so good! My kind of cocktail.
Laughing at twerkless holiday! I really hope I don’t end up seeing someone attempting that…anyway! I totally get what you mean about getting side-tracked, it feels like my life has been like that for the past two weeks (but really most of the time). And neither the treadmill nor cycling machine remembers my name. Hopefully making this drink will cure that feeling! It really does look very festive, and the Mr. and I don’t drink soda either but I do like a bit of bubbly every now and then :).
Ahhhhh the same thing has been happening to me too! I started baking a new recipe tonight and before it was ready to go in the oven I also started sweeping the floor and unloading the dishwasher…I seriously cannot concentrate lately. Also – love these fun drinks. I make something really similar with TJ’s flavored soda waters (my fave is raspberry lime!) and a splash of juice. Yours are much prettier than mine :)
These look delicious! I don’t like super sweet drinks either, so this looks great for me. I’d totally go the champagne route! I’ve been right there with you with the scatter-brained week. Hope it gets better soon!
Yum this drink looks so refreshing and delicious! I’ve had Vodka and Cranberry juice before with soda but not pomegranate juice, I’ll have to find some and give it a try.
I just stumbled across your blog, and I love it. I’m also a vegetarian, and I grew up in Texas (my parents are still really confused). I look forward to reading more – these drinks looks delicious even without alcohol!
Dang this looks good. Sometimes I wonder why I drink anything that is not some sort of juice spiked with something fizzy. Especially if there is lime involved.
PS I’m commenting on your blog right now because I’m stalling to do something else. I don’t regret it, because this was a fun post, but I totally get the I-can’t-get-anything-done-because-my-brain-is-in-a-million-directions-right-now thing.
This sounds perfect! I have some extra dry champagne just waiting to be made into spritzers!
Yum! This drink looks great! I don’t drink soda or alcohol so I’ll have to try out the non- alcoholic version of this!
Oh how pretty! I love the color of this drink! Looking forward to making this for Christmas Eve! :)
This sounds lovely. My mom always likes for us to make martinis when I visit home but they are SO sugary! I might serve up a couple of these in our martini glasses without warning and see what she thinks ;)

I did try the version with dry champagne when I had guests over the other week. They just loved it. Great drink if you want to bring some originality in your cocktails.

I love Pomegranates! Plus they’re packed with tons of anti-aging proprieties. I will add this to my list of “must try” drink recipes. Thanks!
I love it! :)
Hi Sarah,
I love pomegranates. But I generally eat them and never made any juice out of them. This version with lime juice and soda water sounds delicious. I will also add hibiscus tea like you said. But I dont prefer the boozt version if the juice.
